WATER, SEWER & SEPTIC SYSTEMS

Lions Bay maintains its own water system.  Our water sources are Harvey and Magnesia Creeks.  Lions Bay water is chlorinated, is tested weekly and meets all government standards for potable water.  In order to maintain those high water quality standards, it is crucial that persons obey the restricted area signs and do not enter the water intake areas.

The majority of homes in Lions Bay are on septic systems with the exception of Kelvin Grove which is on a sewer system and the Village maintains the sewage treatment plant for this area.  It is to the responsibility of each homeowner to know where their septic tank access is and to maintain the septic system is good working order.  A septic tank maintenance video is available to borrow and septic maintenance brochures are available from the Village Office.
