HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING

HELD ON MONDAY, JANUARY 20, 2005 at 9:30 A.M.

1.                   Mayor Miller called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m.

2.                   A motion was passed to approve the agenda.

3.         Bylaw 353 - Brunswick Beach Water Improvements Loan Authorization

            Bylaw No, 353, 2003

            A motion was passed to adopt Bylaw 353.

4.         Municipal Security Issuing Resolution

            A  motion was passed that Council approve borrowing from the Municipal Finance Authority of British Columbia, as part of their 2005 spring issue, $114,000, as authorized through Loan Authorization Bylaw No. 353, 2003, Brunswick Beach Water Improvements and that the Greater Vancouver Regional District be requested to consent to our borrowing over a 20-year term and include the borrowing in their security issuing bylaw.

5.         A motion was passed to adjourn the meeting at 9:45 a.m.
